Selection of electric lighting lamps and matters needing attention
March 16,2021
The selection of lighting fixtures must meet the requirements of fire and explosion protection. The more prone to fires and explosions, the stricter the selection requirements for lighting fixtures. Otherwise, the requirements should be relaxed accordingly. The following table summarizes the selection requirements of lighting fixtures.
In addition, the following points should be noted:
1. When it is difficult to choose stereotyped lighting lamps in places where gas mixtures appear continuously or for a long time, and where explosive dust mixtures appear continuously or for a long time, open lighting lamps can be made into wall-mounted alcoves. Open outside the wall and ensure good ventilation; the side irradiated to the outside should be tightly sealed with double glass, at least one of which must be high-strength glass, and the installation location should not be located directly above doors, windows, and exhaust vents, The horizontal distance from the door frame and window frame should be no less than 3m, and the horizontal distance from the exhaust outlet should be no less than 5m.
2. When lighting and power are combined into one power source, there should be separate branch circuits, and all lighting circuits should have short-circuited protection devices. The wiring behind the switchboard should minimize the number of joints; the joints should be soldered and covered with insulating cloth. The metal plate surface should also be well-grounded.
3. The lighting voltage is generally 220V; the power supply voltage of portable lighting fixtures (commonly known as running lights) should not exceed 36V; if working in metal containers or in particularly humid places, the voltage of running lights should not exceed 12V, and it is strictly forbidden to use self-powered transformers below 36V. Coupler transformer.
4. There should be an obvious difference between power sockets below 36V and above 220V. Low-voltage plugs should not be able to be inserted into higher-voltage sockets.
5. The current of each lighting single-phase branch circuit should not exceed 16A, and the number of connected light sources should not exceed 25; when connecting architectural combination lamps, the loop current should not exceed 25A, and the number of light sources should not exceed 60; connect high-intensity gas discharge lamps The current of the single-phase branch circuit should not exceed 30A.
6. The socket should not be connected to the same branch circuit as the lighting lamp.
7. Various parts must comply with voltage and current levels, and must not be used over voltage or current.
8. When a wooden base is used for surface mounted ceiling lamps, slate or asbestos cloth should be laid between the lamp and the base. All kinds of fluorescent ceiling lamps with ballasts should be insulated with porcelain plywood between the lamp and combustible materials, and it is forbidden to install directly on the combustible ceiling.
9. All concealed, surface-mounted lamps, stage concealed colored lights, dance floor footlights on the combustible ceiling should be laid through steel pipes.
10. The power of the stage concealed colored light bulbs and dance floor footlight colored light bulbs should be below 40W, and the maximum should not exceed 60W. The wires between the colored lights should be welded, and all wires should not be in direct contact with combustible materials.
11. Various parts must comply with voltage and current levels, and must not be used over voltage or over current.
